Mark came up through the tools: over 25 years in construction, starting as a qualified carpenter, and foundations became the specialism. He is a qualified builder as well as a Licensed Building Practitioner, which is not the same thing. The licence does not require the qualification. That order matters: a carpenter knows exactly what a framing crew needs to find when they turn up on Monday morning.
So the slab gets prepped for what comes next. Pipe penetrations where the plans say. Set-downs where the tiler needs them. Levels a frame can actually stand on. Problems get solved on the ground before they become someone else's bad week.
Most of the work comes from builders who keep coming back. That only happens when the job runs clean, the phone gets answered, and nothing gets left for the next trade to find.

No planet-saving speeches. Two practical choices: recycled plastic pods in place of the standard polystyrene on the jobs that take them, and low carbon concrete where the design and the ground allow for it, not as a default surcharge.
