What actually happens between emailing your plans and a framing crew standing on your slab. No surprises is the whole point.

Every job runs the same spine. You deal with Mark the whole way; everyone else on this list is ours to book, run and chase.
Plans and pricing
Email your plans. Mark takes off the quantities himself, prices from the drawings, and comes back with a real number and any questions. If the ground looks tricky, you hear it now, not at step four.
The ground check
TC class confirmed, geotech reviewed where the section needs it. The system gets matched to the ground: TC1 raft, TC2, an engineered TC3 re-levellable, or piles first.
Earthworks and set-out
Dig-out, hardfill, compaction, drainage prep. We book the surveyor, and the set-out is checked before anything gets built on it.
Trades, booked and run
The plumber in for the under-slab rough-in. The engineer where the design calls for one. Underfloor heating, on the jobs that have it, coordinated into the pour rather than bolted on after.
Council inspections
We book them, we meet them on site, we pass them. You never chase a council slot or stand around waiting for a tick.
The pour
Boxing day one, pods day two, mesh and rib steel day three. Pump booked, concrete docketed from the plant, screeded and finished the day it goes down, not rushed.
Handed back, ready for frames
A finished foundation, signed off by a Licensed Building Practitioner. Your framing crew turns up to a slab that is actually ready for them.
Step six.
The pour, from the air. The step every step before it exists to make uneventful.
What "handed back" includes.
"Ready for frames" is a specific promise. When we hand a foundation back, the next trade can start without a single phone call to us, and if they do ring, Mark answers.
That is the builder's-eye difference: the slab is finished the way a carpenter needs to find it, because that is where Mark started.

What is the difference between TC1, TC2 and TC3?
Technical categories for how ground behaves. TC1 is good ground, TC2 needs an engineered raft, TC3 is the hard stuff that may need a re-levellable foundation or piles. Christchurch has all three, sometimes on one street. The TC class drives the system and the price, which is why the ground check is step two, not an afterthought.
Can you help before I have bought the section?
Yes, and it is the cheapest help you will ever get. Ring Mark before you go unconditional and he will tell you what the ground under it is likely to mean for the foundation. Sometimes the answer is "walk away": better to hear it then.
Do you work with my engineer, or yours?
Either. If your project already has an engineer, we work to their design and coordinate with them directly. If it does not, we bring one in as part of running the job.
Who do I actually deal with?
Mark. One point of contact from pricing to handover. The plumber, surveyor, engineer and council are all on our list to chase, not yours.
